Medway Healthwatch Survey Engagement - Walderslade

Good Morning Local Residents,

On 1st  July 2026, your local Beat Officer attended a community-run event in Walderslade and Lordswood, where they conducted high-visibility foot patrols and engaged with local residents.

Firstly officers attended a community run event where residents were provided with the opportunity to discuss local issues and concerns, as well as sign up to My Community Voice to receive updates and information from Kent Police.

Furthermore, later in the shift officers attended a Walderslade event which also provided an opportunity to support Healthwatch Medway in gaining a better understanding of how people feel about living within the local community.

It was a valuable experience that helped identify not only the crime and anti-social behaviour issues that residents consider their priorities, but also wider concerns relating to quality of life and local living standards. 

The feedback received will assist partner agencies in understanding community needs and continuing to work together to improve the area for everyone.
